Universal Studios United Kingdom Is Already Taking Shape – Thanks to Planet Coaster 2 Builders, Anyway

While the long wait begins for Universal Studios United Kingdom’s opening date, some daring fans have already taken it upon themselves to build the park early in Planet Coaster 2.

A quick perusal of YouTube reveals eager fans have already started building parts of the park, using its interesting concept art as a base. DigitalDan, for instance, has built the entrance from scratch, complete with its archways and actual spinning Universal globe out front – very cool indeed.

There are also interpretations of the roller coasters in the concept art, with two near-identical versions of the supposed Back To The Future coaster being created in No Limits 2. Both Maicon Costa and ML Designs have had cracks at the coaster, which features several moments with a switching track, five inversions, and a height of 231ft. Several commenters have advised them to speed the coaster up to 88mph, to keep in line with its BTTF theming.

We’ve also seen people try to work on the apparent green Jurassic Park coaster in Planet Coaster 2, with a little variation in their interpretation of the art. For instance, CoasterCow has opted to go for a winged coaster, as seen below.

Going for a winged coaster is certainly different from the artwork that doesn’t appear to feature that type of train, and it would be a pretty unique proposition in UK theme parks. There are only two other coasters of its type in the UK—The Swarm at Thorpe Park and World of Jumanji at Chessington.

In addition, TenPilots has played it a little safer by going for a similar style of train to what’s in the concept art, with a coaster that includes a clever underground section towards the end.

As time goes on, it’s likely that more folks will attempt to bring the park to life, and we’re here for it. Well done to all involved.
